Janos Meszaros, Recruitment Consultant at Jenrick IT recently provided the following report on his job market predcitions for 2012 withinc1 the security and defence sector:

2012 is going to be a busy year for consultancy companies within the defence and security sector. Their priority will be to continue the battle against Cyber Crime.

As an answer to recent (various organization hacked by the Anonymous Group) and not so recent (Stuxnet attack against an Iranian nuclear reactor) Cyber attacks, the British Government announced last year that they will allocate £650 million of funding to set up a National Cyber Security Programme. Government Agencies will also take a central role to organise the ongoing battle and work closely with commercial organisations.

This busy market has opened up many opportunity’s for jobseekers with strong technical knowledge. The most sought after candidates have strong development experience with C++ in an embedded and/or real-time context in either Linux or Windows environment; also having strong experience in developing multi-threaded applications.

Jenrick IT Exhibit at the SC Expo Event 2011 in Bristol

Jenrick IT has just exhibited at the SC Expo 2011, held in Bristol, for the very first time.ben-and-miriam1

The event was very well run, with the layout of the venue being ideal for Security Cleared Professionals to make their way round talking to each company and being able to freely approach each stand.

Due to the inclusion of a specific mini-brochure for the SC Expo within the pre-event handout, the attendees understood exactly the security and defence recruitment solutions that Jenrick IT provided coupled with the extensive experience of the consultant team within this sector.

Such a substantial number of people targeted our stand and were queuing to speak with our consultants to find out more about our SC and DV services, as well as using the opportunity to discuss their current employment situation.
