Demand for new engineers is 88% higher now than in September 2010

Confirming Jenrick Engineering’s own statistics regarding the continued newsgrowth of the Engineering employment market, Eureka (Engineering Design Website / Journal) just released the following report:

“Demand for new engineers has bucked national downwards trends by rising month-on-month in September as well as year-on-year.

Engineering jobs on the upNew figures released today show the number of new UK engineering jobs on offer has risen five times faster year-on-year than the all-sector average, according to figures from the Reed Job Index.

The study revealed that year-on-year demand for new engineers is 88% higher now than in September 2010, compared to a rise of 16% across all other sectors. The latest figures also show that salaries on offer for new engineers remain stable. (more…)
