Jenrick IT has reported a continued increase in demand for top talent during2011-upwards Q2, with many clients looking to attract top quality IT staff to their organisation for both internal and client focussed initiatives.

UK IT Sector to create 93,000 Jobs

It’s great news for the IT job market, according to Contractor UK. contractor-uk1

The recession in the business services sector is over, most visibly in the IT marketplace which will create 93,000 additional jobs by 2015, research by a financial consultancy reveals.

The Centre for Economics and Business Research says “steady growth” in business services as a whole, which includes IT, is incoming for the next five years, with annual growth of 2.7%. (more…)

At the end of last year, we noted a significant decrease in I.T. contractor rates.

Specifically, itjobswatch.com reported that they had monitored slippage of nearly 10% over the previous six months.

Yet there have been several reports throughout the I.T. industry that these economic uncertainties may actually help I.T. contract rates. The theory was that both permanent staff and contractors alike would be less willing to switch jobs, meaning employers needed to pay more to get people moving. (more…)
