Catlin Arctic Survey update - delay due to equipment issues
Friday, February 27th, 2009
It has just been confirmed that the Catlin Arctic Survey Ice Team of Pen Hadow, Martin Hartley and Ann Daniels have delayed their planned departure onto the ice tomorrow (Friday 27th February).
Although the weather was favourable, two critically important pieces of equipment showed up as faulty in their final checks, leaving no alternative but to delay until they are repaired and confirmed to be working properly.
There was just time in a hectic schedule of preparations for the Catlin Arctic Survey for explorer Pen Hadow and the Catlin Arctic Survey team to stop for a drink before their departure to Canada on Tuesday evening.
