Temporary Workers Directive - Jenrick CPI lobbies Parliament

Jenrick CPI was a key member of the lobby group that met with MP’s at the House of Commons on Monday 6th October to discuss the Temporary Workers Directive, sometimes called the Agency Workers Directive (also see our TWD article dated September 9th 2008).

The hosts for the event were Jim Dowd (MP for Lewisham) and Andrew Miller (MP for Ellesmere Port), and was organised by ATSCo (Association of Technical Staffing Companies) and sponsored by Lloyds TSB. (more…)

Jenrick CPI confirms ATSCo membership

The Association of Technology Staffing Companies (ATSCo) was formed in 1999 to provide a strong and united voice creating a positive appreciation of the role, responsibilities and value of the IT, Telecommunications and the Professional level of the Engineering Recruitment Industry.

The UK marketplace has an annual turnover of over £6 billion, with around 100,000 flexible workers. Eight out of ten contractors in the Technology sector supply their services to end-users and vendors via a staffing organisation and five of these eight through an ATSCo member. (more…)
