There is some encouraging news on full and part time jobs in the automotive
industry at the moment from Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) and BMW, according to a recent report that we read on e4s.co.uk.
JLR has pencilled in a new £67 million facility in the West Midlands which could add more than 1,000 Wolverhampton jobs to the local economy.
Wolverhampton is, however, just one of three sites that JLR is considering, with the other potential UK possibility being South Wales. Another option for the car company is that they will build the new engine plant overseas in India. At the moment, though, experts and sources close to JLR think that the full and part time jobs will be created in the United Kingdom.

Engineering Jobs in East Anglia and the East Midlands are showing record
growth levels, according to a monthly employment data report from REED.
The Reed Job Index indicates that total employer demand for new UK workers rose above May’s figure to give an overall Reed Job Index reading of 125 for June; this growth of 20%, year-on-year, suggests there is confidence returning to the UK jobs market, driven chiefly by the private sector.

“Now, what you should do is…” “Well, it’s obvious, you should do this, then you should do that and then you should tell them you’ve done it”.
Should do. What you should do and what you want to and actually do are often very different things. Even if the advice we’ve been given is spot on, the fact that we’ve been told we ‘should’ do it is often the very reason we don’t. So if that’s the reaction we have, it’s the reaction that others will have when we ‘should’ all over them. Hmmm.

We just saw this very topical article on Reuters UK regarding the continuing growth of Facebook and it nicely complemented the interview Online Marketing Expert, Neil McCarthy, recently gave on the Maximise Potential Podcast.
For anyone still thinking that Facebook is a short-term fad and is only used by teenagers, please take a look at the article below . . .
Facebook overtook Microsoft websites in Britain for the first time last month, becoming the UK’s second-most popular after Google as people aged over 50 flocked to social networks, online measurement body UKOM/Nielsen said.
Facebook attracted a record 26.8 million visitors in Britain in May, up 7 percent year on year, beating the 26.2 million who visited Microsoft’s MSN/WindowsLive/Bing sites combined, the organization said on Monday. Google had 33.9 million. (more…)

It’s important to be able to be direct. There are times when it’s crucial to be
direct. There you are, I’m being direct with you. It’s got your attention, you know what I’m saying and it’s a key piece to being a clear, confident communicator.
We’ll start with the ‘Why’ of being direct first. I’ll be direct with you. I promise - and before we start, being direct is very different from being rude. That’s the key.

It’s often the difference between success and failure, or ‘yes please’ and ‘no thanks’ - naming a product, naming a project, naming a team, naming whatever.
Giving something a name which is compelling, inviting, something that people either want, want to aim for or find interesting.
Advertisers and marketing specialists are constantly looking for, and listening for, words that compel, persuade, attract and interest us. You only have to think about how ads draw us in, give us the ‘why’ and the ‘what’s in it for us’ as they persuade us to buy:
- Coca Cola - the real thing;
- Adidas - right here, right now;
- Levis - Freedom to move
Multi-billion pound industries thrive on finding exactly the words to motivate us into action.

Jenrick IT has just exhibited at the SC Expo 2011, held in Bristol, for the very first time.
The event was very well run, with the layout of the venue being ideal for Security Cleared Professionals to make their way round talking to each company and being able to freely approach each stand.
Due to the inclusion of a specific mini-brochure for the SC Expo within the pre-event handout, the attendees understood exactly the security and defence recruitment solutions that Jenrick IT provided coupled with the extensive experience of the consultant team within this sector.
Such a substantial number of people targeted our stand and were queuing to speak with our consultants to find out more about our SC and DV services, as well as using the opportunity to discuss their current employment situation.

It’s such a small thing to say ‘thank you’. It costs you absolutely nothing and
yet it makes a huge difference to how you are understood and remembered by people. It’s often the difference that makes the difference as to whether people do what you want, it certainly affects the way they do what you ask them to and, crucially, how they respond to you - and - if they respond to you at all.
