Jenrick supports James Cracknell in his fund rasing for Headway, the Brain Injury Association.
In the extract below, James Cracknell explains his reasons for choosing to run for this charity.

Hi there,
Thanks so much for taking the time to visit my fund raising page for Headway in the London Marathon. Having spent a significant percentage of the last eight months in hospital I won’t be troubling the scorers but wanted to raise funds as a way of thanking those people who looked after me.

Ciaran Pillay, Recruitment Consultant at leading recruitment agency Jenrick IT, kindly wrote this article on how he views Jenrick as a place to work
compared to other recruitment agencies he has worked for in the past.
The title “Recruitment Consultant” is one that sometimes carries heavy prejudice and connotations of untrustworthy, cutthroat, money orientated, individuals, working for large, brash institutions that embody the aforementioned animal.
I have worked for a couple of said organisations in the past and, have certainly come across countless more on my own personal journey to find employment.
These encounters tainted my own impression of the recruitment world and upon returning from my travels I was adamant that I would not return to recruitment.

I (Sharon Stephenson of Jenrick Engineering) started my Ghost Hunting experience at Warwick Castle, my brother and I
were very nervous as neither of us knew what to expect. On arriving in the castle ground and meeting with the medium we set off on our night vigil. A brief history tour was then followed by us being split into small groups and taken to various sites around the castle. Our first site was a long corridor which was pitch black, we made ourselves comfortable and start to call out for any spirits to contact us. We saw a few orbs flicker but no definite evidence; it was at this point that something icy cold tried to grab at my hand. We did a thermometer test and the particular hand was 7 degrees cooler than my other one.
Our next vigil was in the dungeons where a volunteer was asked for so I put my hand up. I participated in an experiment where I was in the middle of a séance circle and whilst the circle chanted I experienced my arms levitating up from my body and I had no control in putting them down until the chanting stopped. Although we did other experiments and vigils we did not feel anything paranormal was taking place. (more…)

Thank you to all of the clients, contractors and associates of Jenrick who
entered our charity photo competition for this year.
As most of you know, the theme for the competition was simply called ‘Your Britain.’
National award-winning Photography Company, Media Wisdom kindly judged the photos, as well as Xerxes Music for providing the mellow soundtrack to accompany each slideshow. (more…)

It all started when a young budding athlete named Elliott Cole approached
Jenrick and shared his long-life dreams and aspirations of becoming a top triathlete, with a goal to eventually compete in the 2016 Olympics.
Elliott’s natural passion coupled with his determination, vision and motivation to succeed inspired us (Jenrick) to help him achieve this a once in a lifetime opportunity by sponsoring him - and the Maximise Potential website was launched.

Congratulations to Jo Eley who has just been awarded the very latest
‘Jenrick Experience’ which means that she has been given £1,000 to make her dream come true!
Jo’s full entry is detailed below:
After hearing Simon Murphy speak about the Jenrick experience and its true meaning, I went home and really thought long and hard about an experience that for me would truly be something to carry with me for the rest of my life and even, to a degree, be life changing.
After much thought, and at the risk of ruining my street cred (if I in fact have any!), showing myself to be a true geek and even (some might say) a little morbid, I have thought of something that would be the ultimate once in a lifetime experience for me. (more…)

A young and talented triathlete – Elliott Cole, approached Jenrick asking for support to help him reach his goal of qualifying for the 2011 Triathlon World Championships. From there, he aims to compete in the Hawaii Iron Man Competition and ultimately represent Great Britain at the Olympics.
Elliott works full time but still maintains an energetic and demanding training schedule to improve his fitness levels, with early morning lake swims, 30 km bike rides, 100 lengths in the pool plus hour long runs . . .and this is just in the week!
Then at weekends, he is either participating in local triathlon events or doing (in his words) ‘long’ swims, bike rides and runs. (more…)

Please let me explain to you why I have wanted to SKYDIVE since the age of
16 . . . .
“At the age of 16 I was fortunate and unfortunate; unfortunate in that I broke my neck (C6 vertebrae in two places), but very fortunate in that I suffered no long term damage (i.e. paralyses, speech problems, breathing issues…etc).
The recovery phase for this particular type of incident is estimated at between 20 – 60 weeks, which for a 16 year old lad (who enjoyed the pleasures in life) is particularly disheartening and potentially devastating.
My life, as far as I was concerned was ‘sh*t!’.” (more…)
