facebookWe just saw this very topical article on Reuters UK regarding the continuing growth of Facebook and it nicely complemented the interview Online Marketing Expert, Neil McCarthy, recently gave on the Maximise Potential Podcast.

Facebook attracted a record 26.8 million visitors in Britain in May, up 7 percent year on year, beating the 26.2 million who visited Microsoft’s MSN/WindowsLive/Bing sites combined, the organization said on Monday. Google had 33.9 million. (more…)

Wednesday, June 15th, 2011

news

According to a recent article in The Daily Telegraph, three in four employers now struggle to find people with the right skills to fill their vacancies, despite high unemployment.

Here are the jobs there are that have proved particularly difficult, according to the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and Hays.

Much-needed specialist and technical skills have become harder to find over the past year, with sought-after staff staying put in their current roles for job security, the annual survey of 626 employers by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and Hays recruitment firm showed.

Service Delivery Co-ordinator Jobs in the Pharmaceutical Industry

Friday, June 10th, 2011

Congratulations to Lindsay Hill, Senior Recruitment Consultant testimonial-6at Jenrick IT , on receiving an extremely complimentary testimonial regarding a Service Delivery Co-ordinator recruitment assignment:

Background:

Lindsay Hill and Jenrick IT have developed a long-term relationship with IT Contractor, Marnie Williams, who like many other contractors that work through Jenrick IT, have benefited from the personal and caring approach taken by the Jenrick team.

Marnie is a very experienced IT Professional and has now contracted via Jenrick since 2005.

Marnie has made a particular mention of Jenrick’s low staff turnover and how that in turn means that she always deals with the same consultant, someone who knows her personally and knows what type of contracts she is most suited for.

Marnie has been so pleased with the service she has received that she wrote the following testimonial:

Testimonial:

“I love the service I receive from Jenrick IT, as I always feel I it is first class and personal.

Jenrick’s low staff turnover means I tend to deal with one person only, who knows all my requirements and needs, and has always tried to ensure I get fair and reasonable contracts.

They are happy to negotiate on my behalf, and I feel I can trust Jenrick to always fight my corner and get what is best for me.

Jenrick always make a conscious effort to visit site and their contractors to ensure we are happy with the service we receive.

It is little things like this that makes all the difference.  Face to face communication is far nicer than a conversation over the phone, you feel you are getting special treatment, and from a company that really does care.

Thank you for the service I have received over the years, it is one reason why I will always be coming back.”

Julie Alton nominates Rainbows Hospice for Jenrick’s ‘Helping Hand’

“WHAT IS YOUR HELPING HAND IDEA / INITIATIVE” rainbows-hospice

Right, here goes, I have agreed to go and stay overnight in a haunted gaol in Derby, (yes a la “most haunted”) to raise money for a charity called Rainbows.

I am one of 15 mothers from my son Rafe’s school who are taking part, the aim is to add to the pot of a year of fundraising for the Charity, we have a variety of fundraisers, ranging from people who are running marathons, walking the breath of the country and sitting in baths of baked beans (yes really) and this is my personal input (along with donating money personally and also being on the committee that is organizing all of this)

I have to stress that this might not sound a big deal but when you have a fear of the paranormal like mine, you would understand that this is quite a big deal!!

Honestly I would rather free fall from an airplane at 30,000 feet than take part in this, but this is the activity that needs the most people to do it, so doing it I am.

Still I suppose if I return possessed at least that will give reason to my general demeanor!! (more…)

“WHAT IS YOUR HELPING HAND IDEA / INITIATIVE” andy-north-sunshine-challenge-2011

I would like to nominate an incredible person who I have met called Andy North.

In a couple of months Andy will push his body to the absolute limit, undertaking the most incredible endurance challenge in order to raise £50,000 for two amazing charities that no one really knows about, Forces Children’s Trust and ABF The Soldiers Charity.

Starting in August, Andy will be running a total of 25 marathons, cycling 1,300 miles and even kayaking 25 miles across the English Channel, in his bid to travel from Catterick Garrison in Yorkshire to Gibraltar – and he’s going to do all of this within just 6 weeks. (more…)

Charlotte James nominates Brooke School in Rugby for Jenrick’s ‘Helping Hand’

“WHAT IS YOUR HELPING HAND IDEA / INITIATIVE” brooke-school-rugby-graham-rowntree-visit

I am nominating Brooke School in Rugby – they are a special needs school that helps build children’s confidence and learning. They are quite a small school and have a variety of age groups from preschool right through to A levels.

The reason I have chose this charity is because my partner’s little brother is at the school and at present they are currently raising money to build a log cabin where the children can chill out and relax at break and lunch times, as they currently lack covered outdoor recreation areas. (more…)
